PAGLIERI Spa was born in Italy in 1876 thanks to the mastery of Lodovico Paglieri, reaching great achievements.
With its headquarters in Alessandria, nowadays PAGLIERI Spa is a market leader in the production of body and home care products.
With its 140 years of history, PAGLIERI is a symbol of the Italian entrepreneurship in 55 countries around the world, with a turnover of EUR 140 million and with almost 150 employees.
Challenge
In Paglieri the revision of manufacturing processes was born from the strategic choice to rethink the historic ‘Felce Azzurra’ product and to internalise the production of “home care” items of two factories, thus avoiding moving 40 million litres of product, that previously there were made by third parties.
Paglieri Spa has chosen to adopt an Industry 4.0 solution, supported by the use of IoT industrial technology.
The Paglieri investments concern:
- The packing line of Felce Azzurra shower gel, interested in a revamping process.
- The installation of a chemical plant and a packing line completely new for the production of fabric softener in order to take back the production wholly inside the company.
The Project
Paglieri has selected as its partners:
Alleantia, innovative italian company, established itself for its I4.0 “Plug&Play” solutions.
Cisco, a worldwide leader in networking technologies and devices.
Italtel, an internationally recognised system IT Integrator.
Thanks to the collaboration of these partners, it was possible to implement the project, in a safe and reliable way, with the interconnection of packing cosmetics plant and the new softener production onen, in a “Plug&Play” mode.
The Alleantia technology, embedded in the Cisco’s architecture, allows to interconnect the adjacent productive reality for the bottles blowing with the Paglieri productive lines.
Data, thanks to Cisco, travel in safety between the two companies.
